Invitation to an online public consultation event about proposed dwellings in Green Lane, Chertsey & SANG in Lyne
Taylor Wimpey is inviting interested members of the public to an online consultation event.

Following adoption of the Runnymede Local Plan in July 2020, Taylor Wimpey are bringing forward a planning application for a new development at Green Lane, Chertsey (Parcel A, Chertsey Bittams). The public consultation event is on Thursday 7th January.
At this event you will be able to learn more about the plans for 149 new homes (35% affordable) in Green Lane, Chertsey. A Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace site (SANG) is also proposed at Hardwick Lane, Lyne, Chertsey.
Due to restrictions on social gatherings, Taylor Wimpey are unable to hold face to face public engagement events. However, an online consultation event will be the opportunity for you to hear more about the plans, as well as provide feedback that could help shape the future planning application for the site.
The Site
Green Lane
The site at Green Lane has been allocated in the adopted Runnymede Local Plan for a residential development of up to 175 homes and five traveller pitches as well as land for a new community hub, although Taylor Wimpey are only consulting on 149 dwellings together with the traveller pitches and community hub.
The plans will provide a scheme with outward facing houses, with the majority overlooking the green open spaces on site and has been designed to "blend into the existing landscape with homes mainly at 2/2.5 storeys" in height.
Hardwick Lane, Lyne, SANG
A separate planning application to provide a new SANG at Hardwick Lane is also being proposed. "This will be an attractive, natural environment which will be made available to the public in perpetuity to take pressure off the Thames Heath Basin Special Protection Area." There will also be 20 car parking spaces for those wishing to access the SANG by car.
