Lib Dems are the clear opposition to the Conservatives going into the next General election
The three Runnymede wards of Virginia Water, Englefield Green East, and Englefield Green West will now be part of the reshaped Windsor constituency. This will be tempered by the addition of the two Elmbridge wards Cobham & Downside and Oxshott & Stoke D’Abernon.
| Councillors in Old Constituency | Councillors in New Constituency | Net Difference |
Conservatives | 22 | 21 | -1 |
Liberal Democrats | 7 | 9 | +2 |
Labour | 4 | 2 | -2 |
There will also be 11 Independent/ Resident Association councillors split over 4 groups.
Hopefully, the Liberal Democrat position will be further strengthened at the next Local Elections in May 2024.
