Surrey County Council By-Election - Englefield Green Division

A vacancy has arisen on Surrey County Council due to the resignation of the sitting Tory member after only two years in post.

The by-election will take place on Thursday November 23rd.

The division consists of the Runnymede borough wards of Englefield Green West and East together with part of Egham Town Ward around Royal Holloway College.

The election will use the electoral register set up in Dec 2005 together with amendments made up to September 2006.

Postal votes can be applied for up to November 8th.

The result in May 2005 was

Carol Jones (Tory) 2333 (Now resigned)

Liberal Democrat 1113

Labour 934

UKIP 265

Monsters 116

Turnout 48.1%
