Surrey County Elections
The local County elections are being held on Thursday 4 th May, 2017. Currently Surrey Council is Conservative led and the Councillors who represent Runnymede are all Conservatives. We believe that a fairer representation of the people across the Borough is required to hold Surrey Council to account. We have seen how our services have been cut because of the budget being stripped down by the Tory government and mis-management by the County. We feel it would benefit residents if we had councillors from a broader range of parties, including Lib Dems.
We are fielding candidates in all 6 seats as follows:
Addlestone - Chelsea Whyte
Chertsey - Sylvia Whyte
Egham - Jake Short
Englefield Green - Will Coles
Foxhills, Virginia Water & Thorpe - Don Whyte
Woodham & New Haw - Jenny Coulon
As county councillors we believe that we can stand up for a broad range of people in the community and apply a more moderate view than that held by the Conservatives.
Please try and vote at the election it is really beneficial to have the view of local residents and your vote could make a huge difference as to how our services are run
